Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Thank you for your patience. This is new for everyone and staff are also working through child care, financial issues, self-isolation questions and many of the similar concerns that you are experiencing. Our parents, staff, and students are a community and together we will move forward through this unprecedented challenge.
Today, parents and caregivers may begin to pick up their child(s) personal belongings and supplies. Please note that Kindergarten students will not have materials ready for pick up until Wednesday, March 18 in the afternoon time slot.
Pick up will be available as follows:
1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17.
8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18
1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18.
8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m on Thursday, March 19
1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19
By appointment outside these hours.
We have carefully put each child’s package together and bagged everything in a clear recyclable bag. We are asking for one person to come to retrieve the items for their family. Please do not bring children into the school or send students to retrieve their items, as the bags are heavy and would be awkward to carry home. Upon arrival, you may come to the front foyer and a staff member will bring you your family’s items. You may park in the bus loop to load your vehicle, and please be cautious of traffic and pedestrians.
We will only allow five people in the foyer at a time, so please be patient if you need to wait outside. Parents should remain in the foyer and staff will get your child’s or children's package(s).
Should you have library books or home reading books at home that need to be returned, please bring them along and a bin will be placed in the foyer. We have given each student extra library books in their package that they can read. Please treat these books with the utmost care, as usual, they will be returned at a future date. We don’t know if or when school will be opening again this year, so please make sure to keep track of school supplies in case schools open and all these supplies are needed back in the classroom.
If you are not able to attend and wish to send someone to pick up belongings who is not listed as a contact on PowerSchool, please phone Karen Carlson at 780-796-3936 to let us know who is coming, and we will ask to see identification before releasing student items.
If you are not able to come during school hours or send someone in your place, please call Karen Carlson at 780-796-3936 and we will make arrangements for an alternate time.
Again, thank you for your patience. We are thinking of you all and wish for everyone to stay safe.
